Best Age for Baby Photoshoot ( handy tips to help you decide better)

Read before to decide to go for Baby Photoshoot

Newborn: Best time to take newborn photos is when the baby is 5-15 days old. Since the window of newborn photoshoot is very small ,it is advised to book your newborn photographer well in advance.

Have you thought of what style of newborn photos you prefer? these will come handy in making a choice to pick a photographer . I always  give a blend of Setups as well as natural pictures in all my photoshoots.

Images are memories captured for life -this is how i see every image i take and therefore i put all my heart into it to make it as special as i can for you.

sticking to the baby age for newborn is important as some poses happen beautifully if the baby is tiny and sleeps nicely.

Sitter Session (6-8 months) : This age is my personal favourite for photograph. Happy ,smiling ,chubby baby  able to sit up but yet to crawl. this was an ideal age to photograph babies before newborn photography started.

In all my sitter session i do a mix of natural photos and  photos using props. The baby is usually happy and easy going and i just love the flow of these sessions.

Turning ONE :  By this time your baby will probably be crawling and also managing to stand for few seconds holding on to something.  Indeed it is celebration time and creating memories of this wonderful day. I do these session either in my studio or outdoors and if parents like both indoor and outdoor photos ,the photoshoot is planned keeping in mind both . This till now is the most preferred age according to me in India. First birthdays are always not just about baby here but families as well and parents want to get some nice memorable images.

Older Sibling's & Parents:

I love to include Siblings in a baby photoshoot. the excitement of elder child is pure joy to watch . i also enjoy interacting with them like i purposely ask them to suggest me with some nice poses or help me know what will make the baby smile etc. this gives them a sense of involvement.

These sessions are planned keeping in mind the routine of the baby. Nap time , feed time all need to be considered . i always do a consultation with my clients and suggest accordingly .

Hope these tips help you plan your baby's photo-session

One thing I do in my setups

Besides photographing babies , i also enjoy making props for my setups.  One of my most favorite being Paper flowers . I love to use them in the background . with interesting tones and colours ,they give a very unique touch to my pictures.  When i started doing baby photography , i wanted to do something that can add beauty to my images at the same time is not to heavy on my pocket , so i decided to get into some DIY prop making. I agree it takes time to make these but i also agree that it adds uniqueness to your work.  There is inspiration everywhere in todays web age ..all you have to do is be willing to go search for it.my favorite place is Pinterest . I pick an idea and then make it work in my own way .  what is your favorite DIY... inspire me a bit here ... :) these are my social appearances-  instagram kidoclickophotography facebook kidoclickophotography
